Your next company, a subsidiary of the group, holds a license from the Japanese Financial Services Agency and launched FX services (Type 1 Financial Instruments Business) for the Japanese market in 2022.

 

Role:

Your next place of work is seeking an IT Manager to join their rapidly growing global workforce in Japan. This role will partner with global technology teams in designing and architecture a best-in-class trading experience. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, technology-forward company leveraging bleeding-edge technologies that set our client apart from its competitors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimize the technology systems and infrastructure
  • Monitor trading activities and report any abnormal behavior
  • Gather data, analyze and suggest developments
  • Ensure the availability and performance of IT services for the Japanese market, oversight of regionally dedicated systems
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and partners to maximize service quality and value
  • Work with development, programming, planning, and production team (global team) to ensure all products and functions are delivered as expected
  • Collaborate with global technology leadership to align technology architecture and strategy across all regions, representing the needs of the Japanese market and office
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies involved in running a financial institution in Japan
  • Assess risks based on the information assets held by the system and its utilization

Requirements

  • Must have a business level of English to communicate with the global team
  • Must have a native level of Japanese both written and spoken
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, Application Development, or IT Service Management
  • Basic knowledge of Trading Platforms, Latency Optimizations, FIX Protocol and Trading Technologies
  • Basic knowledge of infrastructure, database, and network
  • Logical thinking skill to solve problems, determine cause and prevent recurrence
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Must have a Japanese working visa

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a management role
  • Experience in working in the financial industry, especially in FX, CFD or Stocks
  • Experience managing IT hardware, software, and service vendors
  • Experience managing back office and client-facing systems, including mobile, web, and desktop clients
  • Experience in evaluating systems based on information security and cyber security standards
  • Qualifications and practical experience in managing network configurations and operating actual systems

 

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Network Management:
    • LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewall configuration and management
  • Server Management:
    • Installation, administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers
  • Cloud Computing:
    • Use and management of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Programming:
    • Python, JavaScript, Java, PowerShell, and other scripting languages
  • Database Management:
    • Operation and administration of databases such as SQL, Oracle, MS SQL, etc.
  • Security Knowledge:
    • Cyber security, encryption techniques, vulnerability management
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Ability to solve system and network problems
